BLACK BOOT INK (BBI) is a charitable management firm designed to serve as a resource center, fundraiser and organizer for Chicago-based youth initiatives.
BBI itself is not a 501c3 organization; we provide a service as a representative to our members and to the youth and families which they support. Our primary goals are to make the giving process easier for donors and to provide a place of membership and alternative funding options for youth activists, not-for-profit organizations and school programs.
Through the payment of an annual membership fee of $25.00, BBI members are listed in our publicly available database of youth supporters, receive access to all of our services and are eligible to apply for unlimited Mini-Grants.
To kick start business BBI is organized a 'Stop The Silence' Benefit Concert featuring a diverse group of well known Chicago poets and hip hop artists anxious to raise their voices against the youth violence afflicting our city. Hosted by BBI founder Tequilla Cooper, aka Unmuvabo, proceeds from the December 17th concert supported the programming of the arts and education organization Kuumba Lynx.
